Session 2 - Skippers
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am-Noon; Wednesdays 1pm-4pm
Skippers (10 to 12 year old intermediates)
Skippers build on the skills they learned as Ensigns or Mates. They practice both helming and crewing skills in RS Fevas and occasionally Crosby Fast Cats. They learn to fly spinnakers, land at a mooring, beach launch, basic racing skills and advanced knots. In addition, they increase their knowledge of navigation and weather patterns. Skippers will also log time in Wianno Seniors this summer, learning basic big boat tactics while gaining experience in a keel boat.
